HEART patients will benefit from shorter waiting times, thanks to a centre devoted to cardiac services.
The Department of Health has approved plans to build a new heart centre, at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford.
Planning is already well under way for the development, which hospital chiefs claim will lead to a faster service, improved access and beds being freed up for other patients.
Consultant Cardiologist Winston Martin said: "This is excellent news for residents."
