CAMPAIGNERS are upping the pressure on cafes and restaurants to stock Fair Trade products.
Orpington Trade Justice Group is working towards winning Fair Trade status for the borough.
Bromley is one of 17 boroughs which could help London become a Fair Trade city in October 2005, a move supported by Mayor Ken Livingstone.
The Orpington group has joined forces with Bromley Friends of the Earth and the two groups held a trade justice stall in Bromley town centre on Saturday as part of the campaign.
Speaking about the London bid, Liam Padwick, of Orpington Trade Justice Group, said: "It will be a lot of work but I think with the right support it is achievable."
