SUPPORT for the Fairtrade movement is growing thanks to a promotional day at Lewisham library.
Hosted by Lewisham Mayor Steve Bullock the event for school children and residents featured the Taste for Life photo exhibition which shows the conditions farmers in developing countries live in.
The day also marked the launch of the Fairtrade tea and coffee for sale in the High Street library's cafe.
Steve Bullock said, "I am delighted that we are gaining support for our Fairtrade campaign. Lewisham Library is an excellent venue for the Fairtrade exhibition.
"People are showing an interest in learning about Fairtrade and we have a clear message that we can all support the campaign right here in our own community."
