POLICE are warning car owners to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries targeting high-performance vehicles.
In October, 25 top-end cars and high-performance motorcycles were stolen in burglaries across the borough, mainly around Hayes and Langley Park, police say.
As well as breaking and entering, culprits are using other methods such as hooking keys through the letter box with a fishing rod.
Police are urging people to fit trackers; not to leave keys where they are visible; to block more expensive cars in with older vehicles and not to leave them unattended on the drive or street while on holiday.
