LIVE music, cartoons and a fire-eater were all part of the build-up to one of the biggest public fireworks displays in the south east.
Danson Park, Welling, was packed as the crowds turned out on a damp night for the annual Welling Round Table fundraising event.
So many people turned out the start was delayed for 20 minutes to allow them to get into the park and the car park had to be closed.
As well as cartoons, there was live entertainment from singing groups and fire-eater Stuart James, all broadcast on a big screen.
The fireworks display was choreographed to film soundtracks. And there were hot food stalls and a funfair.
"It was probably our best ever display," said Tabler Kerry Allon.
Around 26,000 people attended the event and an estimated £37,500 was raised for good causes.
