AN ART and craft display at a daycare centre showed how active its elderly visitors are.
Cinnamon Court Day Centre, Edward Street, Deptford, held the creative crafts exhibition on October 3 and October 4.
The display included artwork, sewing, glass painting and quilling the technique of rolling and shaping paper strips.
Adults who have suffered a disability as a result of old age, including sight impairment and arthritis, attend the centre.
Manager Sonia Graham said: "We are holding the exhibition to share these achievements with the wider community and to show what can be achieved with support and encouragement.
"People drooling, sitting around all day and staring is not the reality of elderly care centres."
