FIVE pupils at a Bexley secondary school have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.

The boys, all pupils of St Columba's RC Boys' School in Halcot Avenue, Bexleyheath, are alleged to have been involved in an outbreak of violence at the school at the beginning of October.

Terrified pupils fled the school on October 1 when fighting broke out between pupils and the school had to be closed.

Two of the boys, all aged 15 and 16, have admitted common assault and have received a police reprimand.

The other three have been bailed to return to Bexleyheath police station next month. More arrests are expected this week.
