A COUNCIL is urging the relatives of two men killed in the Second World War to come forward so the men can be properly commemorated.
Gravesham Council and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission need permission to replace the soldiers' current headstones which have fallen into disrepair.
They need to hear from relatives of Dennis Patrick Rhatigan, 23, who was buried in Northfleet cemetery in 1945 and Robert Norman Weller, 19, who was buried in Gravesend cemetery in 1944.
If you have any information which could help trace the families, call Jenny Neesam on 01474 337490.
