A CORONER refused to criticise a hospital after it gave the all-clear to a man who later had a brain haemorrhage after a fall.
Frederick Stocker, aged 70, a retired firefighter died a day after falling at his home in Hurst Road, Bexley.
Mr Stocker suffered from epilepsy, an inquest at Croydon Coroner's Court heard, and often suffered falls.
He was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, on December 31 last year, after falling.
He was given the all-clear by Dr Brian Gould but transferred to St Thomas's Hospital in London because of a heart condition. Once there, his condition deteriorated.
Recording an accident verdict, Coroner Selena Lynch said matters were not always as straightforward as it appeared on television.
