A COUNCIL watchdog says the authority should compensate residents who complained about a planning application.
The Local Government Ombudsman found Bromley Council acted with maladministration for not realising sooner there was a potential problem over plans for Sovereign House, in Chislehurst.
The authority was cleared following a related complaint about details in the application itself.
The ombudsman has recommended the council should pay £750 to residents who have pursued complaints about the height of the building in Royal Parade.
