FAMILIES and friends watched youngsters perform their own versions of blockbuster musicals.
The seven to 14 year-olds spent a week learning about theatre and taking part in acting, singing and dancing workshops.
They also learned about the technical aspects of theatre and had to design and make their own costumes and props.
The final shows, based around Beauty and the Beast and Mulan, were staged at the Woodville Theatre in Gravesend.
Artistic director Dawn Leach said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and performed to a very high standard.
"The workshops are ideal as a cure to the holiday blues but also provide the children with the confidence and ability to excel in new areas."
