HOME-START, the charity which works with young families, has won a computer and cash to enable it to go online.
The charity, which helps people overcome the stresses and strains of family life, was one of hundreds in London which entered the BT Community Connections award scheme, which has given thousands of awards to charity.
Home-Start, based in Hadlow Road, Sidcup, had to show how it would use the Internet and how it would benefit the community.
If you think you could become a Home-Start volunteer and spare a couple of hours a week to befriend a young family, the charity is running its next training course in September.
