TALENTED artists and crafts people are displaying their efforts in a church exhibition.
St Martin's Church, Erith Road, Barnehurst, is hosting the event to celebrate the 1,400th anniversary of Rochester diocese.
Parishioners, arts clubs, friends of the church, and children have all contributed to the display, which had more than 100 entries.
Church members, headed by Gill Sathymoorthy, have been working since January on the project.
Judges, Oxleas NHS Trust art therapist Britta von Zweigbergk, theatrical design expert Linda Eke and illustrator Brian Casey looked at paintings and sketches in a variety of media including photography, needlework, knitting, crochet and sculpture as well as pieces from a number of children, before choosing their winners.
Archdeacon of Bromley and Bexley, the Reverend Paul Wright and the Bishop of Rochester, the Right Reverend Michael Nazir Ali, gave £150 towards the prizes.
The exhibition will be open on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday from 11am to 3pm. There will be a small craft stall and refreshments. Also on Saturday there will be two children's workshops from 10am to 11am and 2pm to 3pm.
