A LETTER to News Shopper can make all the difference and one reader was overjoyed she put pen to paper.
Sue Crisp of Court Road, Orpington, wrote in, asking what the world had come to after her garden lights were stolen.
She wrote: "I had solar lights to illuminate the pathway in our front garden and help my mentally handicapped brother see his way at night. I can't believe someone has taken them."
News Shopper could not return the lights but, on hearing Mrs Crisp's story, Polhill Garden Centre on London Road, Badgers Mount, kindly donated replacements to her door.
Mrs Crisp said "I think it is a wonderful gesture by Polhill and I can't thank the News Shopper enough. My brother will be delighted."
