HOMEOWNERS are being encouraged to share their home and make a difference to a vulnerable adult’s life.
The Bromley scheme for adult placements (BSAP) finds homes for people who have learning or physical disabilities or mental health needs.
Bromley Council has been running the initiative since 2006 and now needs more people to come forward and share their homes on either a long or short term basis.
Carers receive support and training as well as receiving some financial assistance.
Adult and community services portfolio holder Councillor Graham Arthur said: “I am very proud of everyone involved with the success of this innovative scheme.
“We have some quite exceptional people sharing their homes and giving people with needs the chance for greater independence.”
