BROMLEY: Freedom Pass deadline approaching

ELDERLY residents are urged to apply for their new style Freedom Pass within the next 10 days.

The pass, paid for by Bromley Council and the Government, allows disabled people and residents aged 60 and above to travel on public transport for free.

But from March 31 the old one will not work so people will need to have the new style one in order to keep enjoying the free travel.

The new passes are valid for five years and feature a photograph of the owner on the card, rather than on a separate photocard which is currently the case.

Application forms for the passes are available from post offices and should be returned with a photograph included.

All applications take up to 10 days to be processed and the pass will be posted to your home address.

For more information on the Freedom Pass, visit freedompass.org or call the council on 020 8313 4672.
