FOUR fire engines were called to a fire in a derelict pub in Catford yesterday afternoon (March 17).
The flames and smoke damaged a small part of the second floor of the building in Rushey Green, believed to be the former Rising Sun pub.
There were no reported injuries and 20 firefighters successfully extinguished the fire.
The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene at 2.45pm and the blaze was under control by 3.28pm.
Firefighters from Forest Hill and Lewisham fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
