POLICE and firefighters have launched an investigations after a suspected arson attack on a flat.
Officers from Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are investigation a fire which broke out at a flat in Parrock Street, Gravesend, at around 3.45am on Saturday.
A Kent police spokeswoman said: “Two women were inside the flat at the time. One, who was suffering from smoke inhalation, was taken to hospital but later discharged herself. The other was not injured.
“The cause of the fire, which started in the hallway and caused considerable smoke damage, is being treated as suspicious.”
