FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a man free from his car last night after a crash in Penge.
Three fire engines were called to a collision between two cars on Croydon Road at around 11pm.
A firefighter on the scene said he and his colleagues had to release a man in his early 20s from one of the cars.
The man was not seriously injured, nor was the driver of the other vehicle, but both were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Croydon Road was closed for around an hour while the firefighters dealt with the scene.
