RIP to the driver. However I feel people use this as a go kart track, the cut through road that it is. Lets hope for the lorry drivers sake that the driver of the car was not one of these maniacs, and was purely a sensible, unfortunate driver. Rest In Peace.

No names but I feel sorry for the lorry driver and relevant familys. The Audi driver was a prolific burglar in a stolen car and on the run after escaping from court and was thinking of noone but himself and actually enjoyed his crimes. death maybe not derserved but he would thought nothing if the oncoming car would have been full of a young family

What ? If it was a maniac then he got what he deserved & the lorry driver has done society a favour. So the lorry driver should feel good if he has taken out a family man who's an up standing member of the community. I think you have got it round the wrong way. An Audi and an articulated lorry which were travelling in opposite directions. So one of them crossed over the line. My money is on the Audi.

yes it is all true and Ill spare the details. And before anyone starts to blame the police. He was not. Repeat not being chased.

How long before the usual people start attacking the police for this one then! This guy chose to end his life and now the poor lorry driver has got to deal with this for the rest of his life. Hardly seems fair. And to make matters worse, this happens the day before a poor family bury their wonerful son who died in a skiing accident, a son who dedicated his short life to raising money for others. They must be feeling the injustice of this. I feel sorry for the family of the lad killed in this car accident though, they do not deserve to feel the agony that they are going to be going through. How selfish of him!

This is not a site for people to write unkind comments about others A life has been lost and a family left deverstated by what happend to this young boy.
This boy did not have an easy life but it is not for us to judge.
No one else thank god was hurt. It is terrible for the lorry driver and some of what has been said on here is not true at all, so unless you know him i would say nothing R.I.P

For anyone who feels "justice has been served" il remind you that a young lad, a lad deeply loved by the people around him has lost his life, so to come on here and slate his memory by saying he had it coming and that he deserved it is morally wrong and you should keep your comments to yourself. A family has lost a son and a brother and a freind has been lost, how do you think the freinds and family who come on here and are greeted by your out of line comments are feeling? show some consideration. an 18 year old lad has died today, he was loved by many. i knew him and he was a great lad. so refrain from insulting his memory by posting such insensitive comments.

I find it really insane at how insensitive people can be to the fact that a young boy has lost this life. So many people are dying young and this is no acception regardless to what he has done in the past. He will always be loved by many, he was a great son, a loving brother and an amazing friend no matter what anybody has to say about that. He will never be forgotten. xxx

So is this true "prolific burglar in a stolen car and on the run after escaping from court"

melissa67 says...
9:16pm Wed 10 Mar 10

I agree that this lad did not deserve to die. At no point did I say that he did. In fact my point was that he wasted his life when he had it all in front of him. However, he involved others with his actions, he involved the driver of that lorry and could of killed him too. Thank God it was a lorry and not a car full of a family with children in it. Whatever decisions he made that day, good or bad, led to his own demise. Whether he was a good person or not is very personal and only his family and friends can know about that. We, the public, can only comment on what we see and what affects us. And when someone takes their vehicle and uses like he did then it does affect us. People should not rejoice in his death, that is horrid, but to come on here and say that the public should all be quiet and join in some mutual appreciation society of him is just not being realistic. He made a bad decision, and maybe if he had done the right thing he would still be alive now.

This boy made everyone laugh he was an absolute legend, no body deserves to die in this way, specially an 18 year old boy with a prosperous life ahead of him, he loved his cars and he loved his job, no body knows if it was an accident, you cannot believe the papers or what you hear from people on the street. RIP Mate x

andy may have been a great friend - but it seems when he finished school he went down-hill. he stole from old people, that's horrible and mean - death wasnt needed but something was needed to put his **** into gear - running out of court? - he did the crime so he should of done the time - kids that do this now-a-days make other kids look bad! - you probaly think this is an older person but im alomost 19 - and this is shameful, but r.ip - a young life should of never been taken. x

Mellisa67, I totally agree with you, many of us know what Andy did, how many victims suffered from his choosen 'career' but now we have to put that to bed if possible as I'm told the police have, Andy's family and close friends are the ones suffering now and at least they show that there was another side to Andy. Fingers crossed something is learnt from this tragidy and his family and friends can slowly get used to life without Andy in
peace.

Disrespectful is breaking into someone’s house and taking what does not belong to you…..that is disrespecting society as a whole.
I feel (not fill) for the family but please stop with the fallen angel stuff.
And to his friends perhaps you need to take a real hard look at what is acceptable and what is not - perhaps then you will get the comments you think your friend deserved.

mumgirl says...

No right to comment??? A kind loving person does not invade people's homes, take their things, steal cars and run from the law!

We have every right to comment. His actions effected many, the lorrie driver, the victims of his thefts and the people who don't feel safe in their homes because of thoughtless criminals as the deceased.

He may not have deserved death but many people are sleeping better tonight because of it.

He made his own choices, poor ones and it did not work out for him. Hard to feel bad for him. He was not an innocent victim. Let us not forget that he has caused his family pain and suffering. Not us, the ones that are making these truthful comments!
