PEOPLE who use concessionary fare photocards from Transport for London, can now change the picture on their card.
Until recently the photographs on the cards, which do not include the Freedom Pass, could not be changed.
Now the photos can be changed as often as the holder likes, for a £10 fee.
The problem particularly applies to Zip Oyster cards held by young people aged between 11 and 15, whose appearance can change drastically within a couple of years.
Transport for London (TfL) says increasing number of young Zip Oyster card users have been travelling with disfigured or defaced cards, which breaches the code young people sign up to when they receive their card, and could result in the travel concession being withdrawn.
Zip Oyster cards are available to war veterans, under-16s and under-18s in full-time education.
To upload a new photograph, cardholders can log onto tfl.gov.uk/photocard
