Last year was not a good one for businesses but nevertheless many companies and public buildings realised that image is very important in attracting customers and selling their services to visitors and the public.

The Bexley in Bloom team are looking forward to the 2010 competition which includes the business and public buildings category with the top prize of a half-page colour spread about their business published in the News Shopper.

The winner will also receive a trophy and be entered into the prestigious London In Bloom competition as part of Bexley’s entry.

The competition is free to enter and the judges will visit your establishment in mid-July when hanging baskets and container planting should be at their best.

We are particularly interested in the public houses and restaurants, many have exhibited wonderful displays in previous years but not entered, so why not give it a go this year?

All entrants will receive a certificate, bronze, silver, silver gilt or gold and a mini report on their display.

The In Bloom team will be pleased to give advice either on the phone or a member will visit your establishment if you prefer.

Entry forms are available at Hall Place visitor centre and nursery, Danson Park playground kiosk, all Bexley libraries, adult education centres and the civic offices.

You can enter online at Bexley.gov.uk, via the entry form in the News Shopper or just give us a call on 020 8303 7777 and we’ll drop one in for you.
