A TEENAGE gang leader has been locked up after police caught him carrying a loaded gun.

Congolese immigrant Rosca Onya, aged 18, who prosecutors say is the leader of the Shower Gang, was given an indeterminate sentence and must serve a minimum of four years.

On August 5 last year Onya was zapped with a Taser by police who swooped to recover a Glock 65 gun, Inner London Crown Court was told.

The gun was later discovered to have been used in two gang-related shootings.

Onya, of Pendragon Road, Grove Park, denied possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life but was convicted following a trial.

In January, News Shopper reported how 19-year-old Johnson Ndjoli died after being run over, stabbed and shot by members of the Shower Gang in New Cross on April 24 last year.
