SCHOOLCHILDREN have been filming an advert to encourage graduates to become teachers.
More than 20 pupils at Northbrook School in Leahurst Road, Lewisham, have been helping make a short film aiming to answer the age old question - what makes a good teacher?
Organised by the government's training development agency for schools, the event was designed to persuade more people to take up teaching as a career.
The advert will be shown at teacher recruitment events throughout March.
Assistant headteacher Debbie Smart said: βIn the appeal the students have created their own rap on why teaching is such a great career.
"My favourite moment was when one student said 'teachers are like superheroes,'. This illustrates how much the pupils value the vital role of great teachers.β
