FIREFIGHTERS had to remove a car roof to rescue a woman driver following a triple crash on the M25.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 3 and 2 near Hextable at 5.20pm yesterday.

The woman, who was driving a Fiat Punto, was taken to Darent Valley Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Drivers of the other two cars involved, a Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Astra, were not injured.

Resulting congestion stretched back to junction 4 and the road was re-opened shortly after 7pm.
