At our Christmas meeting our speaker, Mel Rees, a humorous author, entwined his observations of everyday events with snippets of his family background that resulted in a light hearted talk entitled My Family and Other Setbacks.
This was enjoyed by our enlarged gathering including family and friends.
A buffet followed to conclude this excellent social evening.
Our next monthly meeting will be held at 7.45pm on January 27 at the Rosary Catholic Church Hall, Hayes, when Cllr Anne Manning will talk about The Two William Pitts.
