GREENWICH: Student wins competition to write blog for shopping centre

A TEENAGER is celebrating after winning a competition to write a blog for a shopping centre’s website.

Greenwich Shopping Park in Charlton teamed up with Greenwich Community College, Plumstead Road, Plumstead, to search for a student who would be able to provide shoppers with fashion tips and advice through an online blog.

Students had to describe their fashion icons and favourite designers to enter the competition.

Megan Hunt, who is in her second year studying fashion marketing and promotion, was crowned the winner after impressing the judging panel which included Gillian Jones from the College and visual merchandisers and managers from top fashion retailers.

The 17-year-old said: “I’m a normal Lewisham girl who loves beautiful fashion at affordable prices, and I think that’s what shoppers in the Borough want to hear about most.”
