CHARLTON footballers spread Christmas cheer when visiting sick children at a hospital.
Players such as Jonjo Shelvey, Izale McLeod and Therry Racon were handing out presents and goody bags during their visit to a children’s ward at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Woolwich.
The Charlton first-team squad was out in force signing autographs and posing for photos as part of the club’s annual trip to local hospitals.
Half of the squad left the training ground in Sparrows Lane, New Eltham, to visit Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup with the remainder visiting Queen Elizabeth II Hospital.
A spokesman for the south london healthcare NHS trust said: “We were delighted Charlton were able to visit the children’s wards.
“Many of the kids are Charlton fans or football fans and it means a lot to them to see their heroes in person. The footballers were great with the kids.”
