POLICE investigating the death of 14-year-old Gabriel Rotimi are appealing for the driver of a car seen in the area to get in touch.
Gabriel, from Thamesmead, was hit by a black Nissan Crewcab Pickup as he crossed Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, at around 5pm on November 27.
It happened near the Yorkshire Grey roundabout on the westbound carriageway towards the A20, opposite McDonald's.
Detective Sergeant Gordon Wallace from the Met’s Collision Investigation Unit said: "We believe there was a small silver car, about the size of a Corsa, driving in front of the pick up truck around the time of the collision.
“We do not think this car was involved in the collision in any way but the driver may have some important information that will help our investigation.”
A 48-year-old man arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving was bailed to return pending further investigation.
