A CHARITY has raised £1,500 by carrying out a raffle.
The annual event of Bromley Mind took place on December 4 at The MindCare Day Centre in St Peter’s Lane, St Paul’s Cray.
In the autumn raffle books were sent out to people involved in the charity and as a result 1,500 tickets were sold at £1 each, helping to raise the cash.
Four lucky winners names were drawn by Bromley and Chislehurst MP Bob Neill, and they walked away with prizes including £150 in shopping vouchers, sunday lunch for two and a Christmas hamper.
Community fundraiser for the charity, Diane Hatch said: “As a local charity it is really wonderful so many people were involved in supporting us.”
The charity is based in Station Road, Orpington, and provides support to dementia sufferers and their families and the cash raised will go towards general funding.
