COUNCIL tax payers are invited to a meeting to have their say about how the money is spent.

Ideas about what services Bromley Council should prioritise in the next financial year will be discussed and everyone is welcome to share their thoughts.

The meeting will include a brief overview of the council’s finances and spending and there will be the opportunity to ask leading councillors questions about the services provided in the borough.

Council leader Councillor Stephen Carr said: “We live in challenging economic times.

“Here at Bromley Council our aim is to cut out waste, protect services and provide value for money.

“Local people’s views on how we prioritise our resources are important.

“I hope as many people as possible from communities across the borough will take up this opportunity to have their say and help shape how we spend, save and continue to build a better Bromley in the year ahead.”

The meeting takes place in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, on December 14 from 7pm.

Questions, comments or suggestions can be submitted up to 24 hours in advance by emailing committee.services@bromley.gov.uk or calling 020 8461 7077 or can be put forward on the night.
