PARKING in Swanley will be free on the two Saturdays in the run up to Christmas.
Sevenoaks District Council is making all of its car parks and all on-street parking free on December 12 and 19.
The council’s portfolio holder for built environment, Councillor Gary Williamson, said: “We know from our discussions with traders from across the district, this Christmas could potentially be a difficult time.
“In light of these exceptional economic circumstances, we are making parking free to support our local businesses and to help them have a successful Christmas.”
Ticket machines in all the affected areas will be closed off on the days in question and people will not need to get a ticket.
