On site you can buy lights, glow sticks and cheap sweets and drinks. This year you could buy a bag of roast chestnuts for £1.50 and they were really nice. People always gaze in awe as the bang of colour explodes in front of your eyes.

They had a countdown to begin and when it reached zero you could see the first of the white fireworks going off and it was really effective because it was dark then it lit up the whole sky.

It is a brilliant family occasion as well as raising funds for the school. The school is quite lucky because the only reason we can have this wonderful display is that we have a big field.

There were some really pretty combinations of colours such as green and blue, red and white. There were also some fireworks that looked as if they were the letter V made out of light. As I walked away the smoky smell wafted around.
