POLICE are hunting a man who robbed two restaurant employees as they went to bank the takings.

They were on their way into the post office in Blendon Road, Bexley, to deposit the money, which was in a rucksack, when they were approached by a man.

He had one hand in his pocket and told the employees he had a gun, although they never saw the weapon.

The men handed over the money and the robber walked to the junction of Penhill Road, where he got on the back of red and black scramber bike, being driven by another man.

They drove off towards Bexley Village, turning left into Woodside Road.

The robber is described as about 5ft 9ins tall with a Mediterranean appearance and wearing a Burberry-patterned scarf covering his lower face, a black cap, black Puffa-style jacket and dark jeans.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the robbery at about 10.50m on October 19, or who has information, to call Detective Sergeant Shelley Barrett on 020 8284 9296 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
