THAMESMEAD: Man charged with causing teenager's death by dangerous driving


A Met Police employee has been charged with causing a teenager's death by dangerous driving, in Wales.

Brian Johnson, aged 45, from Belvedere, will appear at Llandrindod Wells court on December 2.

Louise Ferreira, aged 17, of Malthus Path, Thamesmead, was in a 4x4 vehicle when it rolled over and plunged into a river during floods last year.

She was rushed to a hospital in Aberystwyth but died shortly afterwards.

Miss Ferreira was with friends on holiday and the group were celebrating their GCSE results.

The vehicle left a flooded forestry track near the Llyn Brianne reservoir in Powys.
