YOUNGSTERS have had fun learning about another culture.
The 22 children from Tubbenden Nursery in Sandy Bury, Orpington, all dressed up to celebrate the Hindu festival, Diwali.
Not only did they wear traditional outfits, but the three to four-year-olds also tasted traditional food such as rice, naan bread and poppadoms.
They also took part in designing Rangoli patterns.
These patterns are designed by having rice flour in a cylinder, which has various holes in.
The flour is then poured out onto a black piece of card making different patterns.
Deputy manager of the nursery, Kim Ellerby, said: “The day went really well and the parents even came and helped me to dress up as well.”
