A MEETING to allay public fears will be held tomorrow night (November 4) following the murder of a man in Thamesmead on Friday night.

Moses Nteyoho, aged 22, of Chalcombe Road, Abbey Wood, was found suffering from stab wounds by police officers who had been called to Tavy Bridge at around 9.30pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene 30 minutes later.

A post-mortem examination at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, gave the cause of his death as haemorrhaging from a stab wound to the heart.

Police say they are keeping an open mind about the motive for the stabbing and no arrests have been made.

The meeting has been arranged at the Bexley Business Academy in Yarnton Way at 7.30pm.

Tea and coffee will be served at 7pm.

It has been called to discuss any community concerns, and representatives from Bexley Council, police and Gallions Housing Association will be there.

It will be chaired by Joyce Sutherland, chairman of the Bexley Community Policing Engagement Group.

Residents who want to be accompanied to the meeting should meet outside the Costcutters store at 6.45pm. Call 0800 389 5013 for details.

Anyone with information about the stabbing can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
