THE Woodlands Farm Trust celebrated the harvest of apples from its fruit orchard by hosting an Apple Day at the farm on the borders of Welling and Shooters Hill.
It has been holding the celebration for the past four years and this was the biggest event to date.
Among the activities were pressing the apples for apple juice, making bird food from apples and demonstrations of how to graft apple trees.
People could buy jams and preserves made from the farm’s apples, and there was a treasure hunt, pony and cart rides and a variety of stalls.
