FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected arson attack this morning.
Two engines from Thames-side station were called to Southfleet Road, Gravesend, at around 5.40am.
A firefighter who was on the scene said they found the occupier of the house inside as well as another person.
He said neither person was seriously injured but the occupier had inhaled smoke.
The bathroom and lounge had been alight but the flames had gone out by the time the firefighters arrived.
A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said a police investigation had been launched and fire crews were assisting officers.
