Miss Boxall, of Battery Road, Thamesmead, was found beneath an open window after falling from a building in Coleraine Road, Blackheath, on May 17 last year.

Oluwakemi Ajose, aged 19, of Floyd Road, Charlton, and a 15-year-old girl from Belvedere, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.

The witness said the 15-year-old defendant came to his friend's flat in the building to tell them there was going to be a fight upsdtairs.

He said the 15-year-old asked Ajose: "Are you going to beat her up?"

She allegedly replied: "Yeah in a minute."

He told the court: "Kemi (Ajose) started spraying Rosie with air freshener. Rosie was covering her face.

"Rosie just kept telling Kemi to stop it."

He said the 15-year-old defendant asked: "Aren't you going to hit her back?"

But Miss Boxall said: "No, I ain't fighting."

The 17-year-old witness did not want to wacth any more so went back downstairs to his friend's flat.

Later he heard a noise which he thought was garden furniture hitting the ground. He went outside and saw Miss Boxall lying on the ground.

He claimed the 15-year-old defendant was trying to run away.

The witness said: "She said she was running upstairs to get her bag because she didnt want the police coming."

Ajose has been remanded in custody while the 15-year-old has been bailed.

The Old Bailey trial continues.
