Beckenham Road closed following Fiat Punto crash


A PEDESTRIAN was knocked unconscious after being hit by a car in Beckenham on Saturday night (October 31).

The 48-year-old was walking along Beckenham Road when he was struck by a grey Fiat Punto at around 11.30pm.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Kings College Hospital in Denmark Hill with life threatening injuries.

The accident happened at the junction with Clock House Road, near Clock House train station.

After the incident, Bromley police closed Beckenham Road between Hayne Road and Churchfields Road until 4.15am yesterday (November 1).

This morning (November 2), the man remains in a stable condition in Kings College Hospital.
