A 26-YEAR-OLD man is in a serious condition after falling 40ft onto the A2.
Police are appealing for information on the incident which saw the road closed off on Friday (Oct 30) during rush hour.
Officers were called at 3.50pm to reports of a man fallen onto the carriageway near Glenesk Road, Eltham.
He was airlifted to a London hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed he fell onto the road after trying to climb down via a fence on the dual carriageway’s elevated side.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly anyone who may have seen the man prior to him falling onto the road.
