A CHARITY is encouraging families to recycle their old mobile phones to help raise cash.

Bromley-based charity, Mission Care, has joined forces with mobile phone recycling company, Second Hand Phones.

By donating old mobiles residents will receive a cash payment and Mission Care will receive a minimum of 20 per cent of the phones value.

Funds raised through this scheme will help to ensure the continuation of nursing and residential care which will benefit the 250 residents which live in the charity’s six homes across South East London.

All phones will be reused or refurbished and the majority of handsets will be sent to developing nations.

The charity looks after people with mental health needs and younger adults with physical disabilities Old mobiles can be sent to Freepost, ShP Solutions, Lancaster, ensuring a note is enclosed indicating the donation is for Mission Care.
