BROMLEY: Youth games success sparks celebrations

TALENTED young sports stars were thanked for their efforts in the capital’s youth games by the Mayor of Bromley.

Nearly 1,000 youngsters who live or attend school in the borough participated in the 2009 London Youth Games earlier this year.

To recognise their third place finish, Bromley Mytime hosted a celebration evening at the Mayor’s parlour at the Civic Centre in Stockwell Close, Bromley.

A spokesman for Bromley Mytime said: “Team representatives turned out in force and enjoyed talking to the Mayor of Bromley Councillor Douglas Auld about their sporting achievements to date and future aspirations.”

The Bromley Mytime charitable leisure trust was created to manage leisure services in partnership with Bromley Council.
