A FREE garden waste collection service is running until the end of the month.
Lewisham Council is encouraging residents to use the service which is available until November 1.
It is open from 9am until midday on Saturdays and Sundays.
Residents can take their waste to Riddons Road junction with Mayeswood Road, Grove Park or Girton Road Car Park, Sydenham.
They can also take it to Kitto Road, outside Orange Café, Telegraph Hill or Laurence House Car Park, Catford.
Garden waste must be presented in plastic or reusable bags to dispose of flowers and plants, grass clippings, hedge trimmings, leaves, twigs and branches up to four inches in diameter.
The council cannot accept kitchen waste, vegetable peelings, soil, turf, stones or Japanese knotweed.
Garden waste can also be taken to the reuse and recycling centre, Landmann Way, New Cross.
