YOUNGSTERS and their parents enjoyed an evening of board games in a bid to get busy families spending more time with each other.
After-school club charity Schoolfriend.etc hosted the event at Tidemill Primary School, in Frankham Street, Deptford, on Wednesday (Sep 23) with help from representatives at toy firm Hasbro.
The evening was organised to help parents with hectic schedules spend quality time with their children, while revisiting boardgames from their youth.
Games included Monopoly, Jenga, Cluedo, Guesstures and Pictureka.
A spokesperson for Schoolfriend.etc said: "It was an opportunity for the parents of Tidemill primary school to relive their fondest gaming childhood memories while investing time into their own children’s development.
"Boardgames provide a staple part of our activity in our after school clubs. They are a way for children to interact away from television and computer screens while learning some very important basic skills."
