FOUR men including a police officer have appeared in court charged with conspiring to commit both robbery and arson.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between July 5 and 6, relating to a vehicle fire in Beaumont Drive and a sum of money reported stolen from a home in Pelham Road, Gravesend.

Three of the accused men live in Gravesend, and are each aged 21, and have all been charged with conspiring to commit arson and conspiring to commit robbery.

They are Amanjit Sandhu, a doorman, of Cherrywood Drive; Gurveer Singh Rai, a student, of Suffolk Road; and Harish Dubb, a police officer, of Warwick Place.

A fourth man, Baljinder Kang, aged 22, a student from Slough, has been charged with the same offences.

Dubb faces an additional charge of perverting the course of justice.

All four men appeared at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday and were bailed to next appear in court on November 2
