A CAREER burglar released on licence from prison just three months ago is back behind bars after another stealing spree.

Terry Jocham, aged 36, of Silver Spring Close, Erith, had been released from prison on licence in May, after serving half of his sentence for a string of household burglaries.

But weeks later, on June 12, a 38-year-old man asleep in his house in Crayford, woke up to find a man leaning through his open living room window, stealing a laptop which was on a nearby unit.

Forensic evidence from the window frame pointed to Jocham.

The following month Jocham was at Bexley College in Upper Holly Hill Road, Belvedere, where he distracted a receptionist by asking for a pen, then leant over the desk and stole a cashbox containing just £5.

But he was captured on CCTV.

Jocham who pleaded guilty to two charges of burlary was jailed for three years and nine months at Woolwich Crown Court.

Investigating officer PC Brad Clough from Bexley police’s burglary squad, said: “Terry Jocham is a career criminal.

“Upon his release from prison, he immediately went back to his criminal behaviour.”
