NURSES and firemen will take to the streets in a bed-push to raise money for charity.
Firefighters from Woolwich fire station will dress as nurses and join staff from Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice who will be dressed as firemen.
The team will push a bed on a four-mile journey from the hospice in Bostall Hill, Abbey Wood, all the way to the Broadway in Bexleyheath on September 19.
Firefighter Robert Colvin said: “The money raised from the day will be pumped straight back to the hospice to ensure that local people benefit from the great work they do year on year.
"I hope to see many faces out on the streets supporting us in our efforts, enjoying the event and helping a great cause.”
