YOUNGSTERS went wild while wearing wonderfully weird hats at a tea party.
Around 75 children attended the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Westminster field, off The Street, Horton Kirby, last Wednesday (August 26), making funny hats and enjoying refreshments.
It was part of Sevenoaks District Council’s In the Zone summer programme, which sees staff travelling around the district to put on free activities for youngsters in their own community.
Youth development co-ordinator Sophie Lord said: “We thought the Mad Hatter theme would be a good way to get the children interested in Alice in Wonderland, and reading it and possibly more books.”
